MCA President delivered a keynote speech at Prestigious International IIFSO Summit

The Muslim Community Association (MCA) is proud to announce that its President, Barrister Hamid Azad, recently participated as an invited panellist at the esteemed International  Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO)’s International Leadership Summit. The conference gathered influential leaders, scholars, and representatives from Islamic youth organisations worldwide, fostering a platform for thought leadership and collaborative action.

The summit focused on various critical topics, including the evolution of Islamic movements, youth empowerment, and the role of young Muslims in addressing contemporary challenges. As a featured speaker, the MCA President delivered a presentation titled “Evolution of the Islamic Movement and Youth Empowerment: A Historical and Contemporary Perspective.” His talk explored the Islamic movement’s historical foundations, its transformation through the 20th and 21st centuries, and the essential role of youth in shaping the future of Islamic discourse.

In his presentation, Barrister Hamid Azad emphasised the importance of balancing tradition with modern tools like technology, activism, and global advocacy to build a just and inclusive society. He highlighted that youth empowerment is crucial for maintaining the relevance and evolution of Islamic movements, allowing them to drive social reform and address contemporary challenges.

The IIFSO Summit is recognized for promoting global collaboration among Islamic communities, focusing on social justice, interfaith dialogue, and advocating for pluralism. The inclusion of MCA’s President as a panellist underscores the association’s commitment to these values and its dedication to empowering the next generation of leaders within the Islamic community.

“This summit provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and reaffirm our commitment to guiding the youth towards a bright and socially responsible future,” said Hamid Azad. “I am honoured to have been invited as a panellist at this global gathering, and I look forward to implementing the insights gained during this event to benefit our community.”
