Far-Right exploiting Southport tragedy to fuel Islamophobia
The Muslim Community Association (MCA) is deeply shocked with the tragic and horrific stabbing at Southport which lead to death of three children and many injured.
MCA Central President Barrister Hamid Azad said,
“Our thoughts, prayer and condolences are with victims and their families. No word can describe the pain of such horrific loss.”
Azad further added, “It is evident that Far-Right groups have been exploiting the situation to target a local mosque, by falsely linking the perpetrator of the stabbing to the Muslim community.”
MCA urges the government to address the threat posed Far-Right extremists. As a community, we need to stand united against all forms of hate.
